Yes, UNV's get paid.....a monthly stipend for living expenses. If there's no compensation for the d UNV role, they explicitly specify it in the job advert.

Sorry about that, in most cases like these, either there's an issue with the proposed funding source, as your salary would have been taken care of by the funds, but I guess the expected funds to the role you were being recruited for did not materialize as planned. It's sad that they didn't get back to you on this.

This is absolutely wrong, you don't need to know anybody to land a job in the UN, I personally did not know anybody when I got recruited from Nigeria.....one thing we must know is that the recruitment process is highly competitive.....they recruit the best of the best....so you must be ready to compete both locally & internationally for the role.

Lol... In MSF, a log supervisor is in grade 6, the take home is around 260k+, in UN, a log assistant takes 700k+. Msf don't even pay anything compared to UN, iFRC, ICRC etc

Perdiem for msf is a misery 3k per night. UN is like times 15 of that for a night.

Summary: a manager in MSF does not earn anything close to an assistant in UN agencies

First of all, there is a general recruitment freeze amongst UN agencies due to low availability of funds as a result of the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic.....so ensure that the listed position is specifically open to other nationals outside the job location.

Secondly ensure that keywords listed in the job description are captured in your resume, attach as much relevant ing documents to back your work experience.

Thirdly, back it up with prayers that you get shortlisted..... don't overlook the "God Factor".

But the required qualifications & competencies are always listed in the posted job adverts.

I understand. Even the other international organisations, I have tried applying for volunteer jobs there but was not successful.
