How do check to ensure no rug pulling?

The owner should have set the owner of the contract to a dead wallet address - this is usually an address with many zeros like 0x000000000000 and they should link to the BscScan where this took place. That's called renouncing ownership. Most of supply should also have been sent to this dead address.

Also there should be no mint function written into the contract to allow the dev mint more than the maximum supply and sell them to crash the price. Usually on tg, correct guys may read the contract to see if a mint function is hidden.

Another thing, click on holders in BScscan to see the percentage holding of the top holders. Even though not technically a rug, if the developer and friends hold too much percentage, it will achieve almost the same effect when they dump. It's called a soft rug. I only like to buy when no one owns more than 2%. Sometimes I may allow 4% for one holder if I know the holder is the devs wallet.
